What's with these words?

Fri Aug 21, 2009, 8:39 PM
So suddenly I'm posting haiku... the story behind that is, some friends on Twitter decided they were posting their messages as haiku on Tuesdays (why? Dunno. Other days have other functions, I guess), so I started going along. Some of mine are kind of throwaway quickies, but I try to make some of mine more about nature. The "leap" toward the end isn't always there, but I'm trying. Anyway, I'm posting some of the Twitter ones that seemed to work best.

I still take photos, and will post some new ones soon.

You're welcome - thank you for posting it. I've been attempting haiku lately, and had forgotten some of the "guidelines" (if I ever knew them well), so your writings help a lot.

Cool - do you have any up on DA?? I would love to have a read. Send me a link. Also - one thing I find that helps with writing haiku is reading a whole shitload of them. I have a lot in my gallery, but I can also highly recommend these two haiku poets here on DA - they are amazing!!!
